Rush - Xanadu - Drum Cover - Adam Johnston

Описание к видео Rush - Xanadu - Drum Cover - Adam Johnston

Rush A Farewell To Kings is another favorite album of mine. This was another album I played and played and played in Jr High School and here is am 38 years later doing it again.
Xanadu is another Rush epic that has so many time changes, dynamics, fun drum fills and challenging rhythms. I had to make do without the orchestra bells and tubular bells on this one. After a few takes I think I got pretty close to the Professor. Thank you Rush for all the inspiration over the years.
And thanks to my wife for her help with filming.

This was recorded with Sennheiser mics, a 421 on the floor tom and RODE M3 on the Hi Hat. Mixed live through a 16 ch Mackie Mixer with a stereo output to a sound devices. Mastered and compressed with original track in Protools and edited in IMovie.
