Sky Full of Clouds Step by Step Acrylic Painting on Canvas for Beginners

In this video, we're gonna get together and learn how to paint a semi-surreal landscape with a sky full of clouds. This is a good lesson for beginners on up!

I’m painting on a 12x16-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.

I used:
• A 1-inch flat brush (for the underpainting)
• 2 to 3 sizes of scrubbing brushes (that's whatever kind of brush you're comfortable scrubbing and making clouds with)
• 1/2-inch flat brush
• 1/2-inch angle brush
• Small round brush
• Very small detail/liner brush

I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Mars Black
• Titanium White
• Burnt Umber
• Yellow Oxide (or Ochre)
But you can use any colors you like.
