In this video Darren Magee discusses Avoidant Personality Disorder, often confused with social anxiety due to the avoiding of social situations, is part of the Cluster C group of personality disorders. What makes is it a personality disorder? What are the common beliefs and behaviours associated with it?
(low self esteem, low self confidence, fear of rejection, low threshold for criticism, panic attacks). Also looking at the criteria for it as set out by DSM 5.
