Paint a Misty Watercolour River Landscape, Progress Via Experimentation! Watercolor Bridge Tutorial

Today I move out of my comfort zone and attempt to paint a misty urban scene of a bridge rising out of the river mist with the city wreathed in fog, and barely discernible in the distance. I'm not used to painting this sort of thing with it's complex perspective, and here I talk a bit about how I think it can really help you to progress more quickly on your watercolor journey if you can sometimes paint something completely different or difficult, and use the opportunity to experiment and learn without looking to create a finished painting. I was quite pleased with the outcome here despite all the flaws, and learned a lot from the experiment. I can put what I learned into practice in future paintings.
