GBO2 Metal Spider: The strongest 400 cost raid!

Описание к видео GBO2 Metal Spider: The strongest 400 cost raid!

This video contains two matches I had with the LV1 GM Striker Metal Spider on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 400 cost raid with two instant stuns, good midrange damage, a heavy stagger wire, two powerful melee weapons alongside access to both Maneuver Armor and Emergency Evasion. Its primary weakness is that it only has 13000 HP, but it also lacks LV2 Maneuver Armor, only having LV1. I have been meaning to do a video on this suit for a long time, it is what I can call the only viable 400 cost raid if you are fighting good players. Where other raids are walled out, Metal Spider can at least poke the support with stuns, with the potential for huge melee burst if it can close the distance. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 1600 power, 3 ammo, 5.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 10% stagger value. This has short cooldown time and good damage, but only three shots before reloading.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 1900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard melee modifiers. This has mediocre damage on its own but has an easy to use moveset.
Its first sub weapon is a vulcan pod with 120 power, 40 ammo, 450 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 900 DPS and 4% stagger value. These have very high DPS for 400 cost vulcans, but the stagger value makes them impractical to use outside of mopping up low HP enemies.
Its second sub weapon is an anchor wire with 1800 power, 7 seconds cooldown and 0.5 seconds swap time. This is a pretty standard heat rod style weapon, heavy staggers upon hit. Best used after a stun.
Its third sub weapon is a heat knife with 2100 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 70% combo modifier. This has the same melee animations as the GM Spartan, making it easy to use in combos. High damage but the cooldown makes it impractical to use again in the same combo.
Its fourth sub weapon is a grenade launcher with 1500 power, 2 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 20% stagger value. This is a splash instant stagger with good damage and swap time. Combos well with the beam rifle or into melee.
Its fifth sub weapon is an incendiary grenade launcher with 500x2 power, 2 ammo, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range, 200x10 incendiary damage and 40%x2 stagger value. This does not instant stagger but deals 2000 fire damage in total, making it potent for chipping away supports HP.
Its sixth sub weapon is a thermal vision visor with 100% heat, 25 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time and 350m range. This weapon automatically spots enemies within 350m of you for 10 seconds, but this is only for you and is not shared with allies. It spots enemies even if they have i-Frames.

The LV1 Metal Spider has 13000 HP, 10 ballistic resist, 14 beam resist and 18 melee resist. It has LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV1 Emergency Evasion. The combination of no LV2 MA and poor HP makes it both easy to kill and easy to stagger accumulate if caught out of position. This means that you have to be very careful while playing this suit, one wrong move could get your legs broken or worse.
In terms of mobility it has 135 walk speed, 200 boosting speed, 60 thrust and 66 turning speed. It also has LV1 Forced Injector. It has good walking speed which makes playing around cover easy, but isn't exceptionally nimble or anything outside of that.

Overall I feel like the Metal Spider is very powerful. 400 cost is full of mediocre raids that are basically nothing but point pinatas for the numerous monster generals at the cost, Metal Spider basically stands as the sole exception. As mentioned before, it isn't at risk of being walled out as bad as other raids, since it can shoot the enemy support from midrange quite well, while not giving up any melee potential. It can even win 1v1 vs some generals if played well, but one mistake will most likely end up with the Metal Spider taken out in one combo. The low HP is the number one weakness of the suit, so you can't afford to make many mistakes. When played to the fullest I think it could be considered a little OP, but I think it would only deserve nerfs if the rest of the cost was balanced, since supports and generals have equally busted options at this cost. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
