Dutch composer, organist, and pedagogue J.P. Sweelinck (1562-1621) was organist of the Oude Kerk (Old Church) in Amsterdam for 44 years.

Virginal by Lynette Tsiang, 1976 after Poggio. The tuning is lower than present-day concert pitch (A is at 415 Hz instead of 440 Hz). Mean-tone temperament was used.
