Harley-Davidson Twin Cam Engine Is Not a One Size Fits All

The Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engine platform doesn't fit every person and every situation depending on what you plan to do with the bike. There are 17 years of engines out there and in all different displacement sizes which vary in price by year. Budget determines a lot of things depending on how much you are willing to spend for a used bike but each Twin Cam engine brings something different to the table. If you work on your own motorcycles and don't mind engine work and upgrades a Twin Cam 88 might be right for you. If you plan on buying a Harley-Davidson Twin Cam and only doing the minor maintenance. then having a shop take care of the rest a Twin Cam 96 or Twin Cam 103 may be a better buy.
