Chocolate Piñata Smash Cake

Here's my attempt at making a Chocolate Piñata Cake, inspired by My Cupcake Addiction & Sydney Smash Cakes.

I started off using an oiled stainless steel bowl, but found it very difficult to pull out chocolate in one piece...as you can see in video it cracked into a few pieces haha!

Version 2 I used plastic film wrap to line the bowl. This obviously gave the chocolate dome a more textured, rather than smooth, look which I actually didn't mind!

For a smooth version I would try using a silicone bowl or silicone cake pan as a mould.

I filled the dome with lots of candy and decorated the outside with musk sticks, M&Ms, meringues & sugar flowers.

This cake was a 'hit' with the kids!
