How to get SHINY CELEBI in Pokemon Gold/Silver 3DS VC (Coin Case Glitch) [No Gameshark used]

How to get a SHINY CELEBI in Pokemon Gold/Silver ENG Versions using the Coin Case Arbitrary Code Execution method without Gameshark Cheats. This works on the Virtual Console releases. Check my other video on how to get ANY shiny in Gold/Silver!

This method is used to get your very own Celebi (Shiny even!) in the Gen II games, below is what you will need before attempting to do this glitch. You will need to have beaten the Elite Four since you need to head to Kanto to obtain some items there. I am sure this method will still work when the Gen II VC releases come out, as they left the Gen 1 games as is too.

*I have since made other videos showing you how to get any Pokemon in Gen II and make them shiny!

[REQUIREMENTS]
Following items needed, and then placed in your PC in this order:

TM27 Return x 2 [Goldenrod Store on Sundays only, with high friendship Pokemon]
Fresh Water x42 [Goldenrod Store]
Lovely Mail x1 [Celadon Store]
HM07
Poke Ball x65
Great Ball x4
Everstone x1 [Show Professor Elm hatched Togepi]
Any Item x Any Amount
Surf Mail x51 [Olivine Store]
Full Heal x18
Flower Mail x46 [Violet Store]
HM03
X Speed x1 [Goldenrod Store]
TM06 x1 [Defeat Janine]
Any Item x Any Amount
TM41 x1 [Goldenrod Store]

Quagsire with Sleep Talk (Goldenrod Store Basement) in the first attack slot and holding HP UP.

Low level Pokemon* preferably right outside New Bark Town. Make sure that the Pokemon's Special stat is not 8 and that it's HP stat is not 16. Having it be a female increases chance of success, due to females having lower attack DV. The glitch requires a Pokemon with low stats and DV values so try again if it fails.

Pokemon** you want to become Celebi. Shininess (DV values) and move sets carry over to your Celebi. Non shiny Pokemon = Non shiny Celebi.


[STEPS]
Make sure all items are in the correct order in your PC.
Pokemon you want to become Celebi in 1st slot of your party.
Low level Pokemon in 3rd slot.
Quagsire in 4th slot.
Save and Reset inside Elm's Lab.
Step outside then go 4 steps to the right.
Open the Pokedex and listen to Machop's cry.
Then go to your bag and use the Coin Case, making sure you switch pockets before. (At this point the game can do weird stuff like freeze or reload the game on its own. Get a new low level Pokemon and try again if it fails)
Close the bag menu and then fly to Goldenrod and head to the Daycare.
Give your 1st slot Pokemon to the Daycare Lady, then withdraw it.
If all went well you now have your own Celebi!

-To get the Celebi entry in your Pokedex trade the Celebi to another game cartridge and back to the original. This should still work with Pokemon Gold/Silver virtual console version released in September 22, 2017.

PS: I do not claim this Celebi legit. Anyone who claims he has a LEGIT Shiny Celebi by extracting the Gen 2 pkm file and converting it to a compatible Gen 3 pkmn file using an external program and transferring it to Gen 7 is a delusional person.

Before the VC Crystal Version release there were NO LEGIT shiny celebi OUTSIDE of gen 2 since they are only obtainable in Japanese Crystal games or English games from the Pokemon Center New York event from 2001-2003. Also there is no legit way to communicate between VC and Retail, only by hacking = aka your shiny celebi from old crystal into VC and beyond is not legit or legal for that matter! Same goes for if you use a SAV file that had any old GEN II events like shiny PCNY Pokemon and the GS Ball then that is not legal at all!
