SMD Resistor Coding Explained with Examples

Описание к видео SMD Resistor Coding Explained with Examples

Different types of SMD Resistor coding (3-digit, 4-digit, and EIA-96) coding schemes have been explained with examples.

3-Digit SMD Resistor Coding Scheme:
The first two digits indicate the two-digit numerical resistance value,
The last digit Indicates Multiplying factor (power of 10),
Tolerance plus or minus 5%,
If there is a short bar below the 3-digit coding scheme,
then its a precision (Tolerance) plus or minus 1%.

4-Digit SMD Resistor Coding Scheme:
The first 3-digits indicate the three-digit numerical resistance value,
The last digit indicates Multiplying factor (power of 10),
Used for precision applications, Tolerance of plus or minus 1%.

EIA-96 SMD Resistor Coding Scheme:
These resistors have a tolerance of plus or minus 1%,
The EIA-96 coding scheme consists of two numbers and one letter at the end,
The first two digits or numbers represents a code of three significant digits or numbers,
The last letter Multiplying factor (power of 10),
The numbers and letters codes are given in a common or manufacturer's document.
