Sitting at the top of Bellroy's sling line up in terms of size, the Venture Sling's main claim to fame of the venture sling is its remarkable capacity which can comfortably hold water bottles, jackets or even large mirrorless cameras and lenses - with plenty of room left over for EDC goods. Other highlights of this bag include its high degree of "dumpability" in terms of being able to effortlessly throw things in and out of the bag, very functional and adaptable ease of carry, ability to flatteringly shift between full and empty states while maintaining a comfortable wear experience, and a fairly high degree of flexible decent capacity internal organization.

On the other hand, the primary downsides of the Venture sling includes a noteable inability to handle almost any kind of tablet or laptop other than perhaps an iPad mini - an all the more surprising omission given its gargantuan size. Additionally, while much of the internal pocketing is strong, there is also a row of four internal cloth pockets that are of extremely limited usability due to their construction and material choice. Finally, the bag pioneers a couple of new construction and aesthetic choices for Bellroy such as the slightly-frictionful side-opening dual main zipper which can leave odd gaps on the sides and braided para-cord zipper pulls that seem oddly tactical for the overall aesthetic.
