It was a rough night in the small town of Rhodes. Arthur Morgan, with his usual whiskey-soaked charm, had spent the better part of the evening drowning in drinks at the local saloon. The bar had been noisy, the kind of place where tensions ran high and conversations blurred into the sounds of clinking glasses. But for Arthur, the whiskey did its job—numbing the pain of a life filled with regret, betrayal, and unspoken dreams.

By the time Arthur staggered out of the saloon, the storm had rolled in. Thunder echoed across the dark sky, and heavy rain began to pour down on the town, drenching the wooden streets. The wind howled through the buildings, rattling shutters and swaying the trees. The storm was fierce, almost as if the sky itself was unleashing its own frustrations. Arthur, half drunk and stumbling, didn’t care much about the weather. He just needed to find somewhere to sleep off the night.

He found himself on a familiar porch—an old wooden house on the edge of town. It wasn’t fancy, but it was a shelter, and it belonged to a local who didn’t mind Arthur crashing there from time to time. The rain pounded on the roof above as Arthur collapsed into a chair, letting the storm wash away the fog of alcohol clouding his mind. His soaked coat hung loosely over his shoulders, and his hat was pulled down low, shielding his face from the rain.

Lightning lit up the sky in flashes, casting eerie shadows across the porch. The thunder was loud and booming, shaking the ground beneath Arthur's feet. He stared out at the storm, his mind drifting between memories of the past and the uncertainty of the future. It wasn’t just the storm outside that weighed on him; it was the storm within. Life with the Van der Linde gang had become more complicated by the day, and Dutch’s erratic behavior gnawed at Arthur’s sense of loyalty.

But for now, all Arthur wanted was peace—just a few moments of rest before the chaos resumed. The rhythmic patter of rain on the wooden boards beneath him and the steady roar of thunder lulled him into a state of calm. Slowly, his eyelids grew heavy, and despite the fierce storm raging all around him, Arthur drifted off to sleep, the storm becoming a comforting lullaby.

The rain kept falling throughout the night, cleansing the streets of Rhodes, as Arthur slept through it all—oblivious, exhausted, and for a brief moment, at peace. The storm might have raged on, but in that small corner of the world, under the safety of the porch, Arthur found the rest he so desperately needed.
