Sacramento Light Rail trains mostly along the Blue Line and some Gold Line trains. Most of the trains were filmed at the Meadowview Rd crossing. The train cars you will see are SACRTs original Siemens tram cars, CAF tram cars, and UTDC tram cars. The Siemens tram cars were here since the light rail was built in Sacramento in 1987 with the original segment also know now as the Gold Line and the Watt/I-80 segment of the Blue Line and some of them are in both the old and new paint schemes as of June 2016 since they are being repainted to the new scheme. The CAF tram cars that were added to the system in 2003 when the first section of the Blue Line was built to Meadowview. The refurbished UTDC tram cars that are originally from San Jose VTA light rail system were also brought to SACRT in 2003 but didn't get put into service until 2015 when a certain number of them were refurbished and the second phase of the Blue Line was built and opened to Cosumnes River College. Somehow in this video I managed to get the same trams when I moved from Meadowview Rd. Meadowview Rd is currently the only crossing the light rail goes through that has an Mechanical Bell even though it's not in good shape and it's owned by Union Pacific Railroad not SACRT. 17th St is the only crossing on the system with Hybrid Bells. The rest of the crossings on the system have Electronic Bells. At one time though along the original segment which is the Gold Line and the Watt/I-80 segment of the Blue Line the crossings had Incandescent lights and Mechanical Bells up until 2001 they were all replaced with LED Lights and Electronic Bells. A few crossings have been removed on the light rail system also. The 18th St crossing was removed sometime in the late 90s along the Gold and Blue line, the Power Inn Rd crossing along the Gold Line was removed in the late 90s, a private crossing was removed, a single lane crossing was removed that was by Richards Blvd and replaced in 2007 by the Richards Blvd railroad crossing, and the S Watt Ave crossing along the Gold Line was grade seperated in 2009 for the light rail only but the crossing remains today for a freight track.
