1- CM Pramod Sawant has announced that Goa government will soon begin issuing job advertisements through the Goa Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Speaking after the state cabinet meeting, CM Sawant stated that SSC-led recruitment will help curb scams related to government job placements.


2- Bicholim JMFC court has remanded Pooja Naik to 5 days police custody in cheating case.
Pooja was arrested by Bicholim police for allegedly cheating 1 person on pretext of providing govt job.
In another case, Panaji JMFC court has rejected the bail application of Prakash Rane, who is accused of cheating one person by taking Rs 40 lakhs on pretext of providing government job, Prakash Rane is still admitted in hospital

3- Mapusa police have arrested three persons for allegedly illegally storing meat and animal bones.
Police have arrested Appalal Bepari, Meerasab Bepari & Saiffuddin Bepari, all residents of Camarkhajan-Mapusa, for allegedly negligently storing beef, other meat, and bones of animals without proper permission.


4- Prime suspect in Aquem-Margao kidnapping case Reuben Vernekar and his legal team have refuted charges against him.
Addressing a press conference, Reuben's legal team has alleged that the abduction conspiracy was hatched by Kunal Raikar himself who owes him Rs 3 Cr over sale of shop. For more details watch the video.


5- Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) introduced the interest-free education loan scheme for students pursuing higher education in India and abroad in 2005.
Since then, around loans worth Rs 250 Crore have been disbursed to around 10,000 students.
GEDC Chairman Govind Parvatkar has informed Prudent that there are around 4% defaulters or around 493 cases still pending.


6- Mardol's Samir Khajankar has been making ends meet by making Narkasur Faces Narkasurs and Akash Lamps. Three years ago Samir met with an accident wherein he lost the ability to walk.
