Basic for beginners, how to activate dry yeast, right way to activate dry yeast.

In a bowl with lukewarm water or milk between 110-115 degrees farenheit, dissolve dry yeast depending on your recipe and a teaspoon of sugar. Yeast is fed by sugar and this will help it multiply and activate the yeast.
If you want to learn baking breads, the first thing you need to learn is learning how to proof or activate yeast is the first step.
Measurements of yeast are per recipe your are following.
Warm water or milk or lukewarm water or milk between 105-115 degrees farenheit.
Water and milk are the most commonly used liquids in bread making.
Too hot water or milk will kill your yeast.
Too cold water or milk will kill your yeast.
If the yeast is old or not stored properly, it may not activate.
Let the mixture stand until yeast begins to foam vigorously.
*Tiny bubbles should begin to appear on the surface or around the edge of the container.
I remember the first time that i tried in baking breads, i thought i wasn’t activating the yeast properly. So, i kept dissolving it in a boiling water with more sugar. Then the bread dough that i made did not double or multiply its size, after one whole night. Lol 😆 I continued to make bread that day and then my bread was as hard like a stone.
Learning how to activate yeast is an important step in baking.
In direct contact, salt can kill your yeast too and then there will be no chance that your dough will rise.
Your liquid is the key to your success in baking.
Active dry yeast is the variety that the majority of recipes call for, by the comparison, instant dry yeast does not need to be proofed in warm water and can be directly added to dry ingredients such as flour and salt.
