How The Naruto Verse Was Broken in Episode One

Remember when Hiruzen had a Crystal Ball that could see pretty much any event happening in the world? Hiruzen had the crystal ball in Chapters 1 and 2 of the Naruto Manga. The concept then vanished from the story, as it was extremely broken.

Unfortunately Kishimoto gives this power to Gamamaru, the Toad Sage of Mount Myoboku during the Pain Arc. Gamamaru watched the Naruto vs Pain fight in a crystal ball, just like Hiruzen watched Naruto and Iruka vs Mizuki. The problem is that this jutsu should have been used for so many more things than just looking at fights from far away.
