Practicing bebop lines in all keys is a great exercise to improve your familiarity with keys that are usually not used as primary keys but appear constantly in jazz tunes. On the piano, fingerings are sometimes tricky, and we try to avoid some keys (or passages) because of that. Also, learning 2 5 1 or 6 2 5 1 progressions in all keys and understanding how chords relate to each other is essential to improve your jazz improvisation skills. Every line in this series is based on transcriptions from famous jazz piano solos by masters such as: Bill Evans, Bud Powell, Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, Charlie Parker, Kenny Barron, Stan Getz and others.
