The newest train at the San Antonio Zoo began service on Sept. 27, 2021. The Zoo plans on buying two more new trains to replace the three trains they have, of which two were built in the 1980s and one in the 2000s. Trains began operating in Brackenridge Park, where the zoo is located, in 1956.
