Ashwagandha is a herb used in Indian medicine (Ayurvedic medicine) for nearly 3000 years. It is found in India, Middle East, and Africa. It is reported to have anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, anti-hypertensive, neuroprotective, apoptogenic, and reproductive and hormone modulating effects.
