Rekonstruktion einer Stockmühle | Reconstruction of a norse mill

Die Rekonstruktion einer Stockmühle wurde im September 2019 im Österreichischen Freilichtmuseum Stübing fertiggestellt und erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen. Der Nachbau ist voll funktionstüchtig und entspricht im Detail dem Original des 19. Jahrhunderts, der „Pahl-Mühle“ aus Kals am Großglockner. Maßgeblich für den erfolgreichen Aufbau der Mühle waren die Handwerker des Freilichtmuseums, die mit historischen Handwerkstechniken vertraut sind, aber auch internationale Zimmerer, Tischler und Drechsler die im Zuge des World Wood Days im März 2019 ihr Know-how tatkräftig beisteuerten. Der Bau der Mühle wurde mittels Kamera begleitet um diese technische Dokumentation der Allgemeinheit zugänglich zu machen.

The reconstruction of a norse mill (horizontal waterwheel) was completed and successfully put into operation in September 2019 at the Austrian Open Air Museum in Stübing. The reconstruction is fully functional and matches in detail the original from the 19th century, the "Pahl-Mill" from Kals am Großglockner. Decisive for the successful construction of the mill were the craftsmen of the open-air museum, who are familiar with historical handicraft techniques, but also international carpenters, joiners and turners who actively contributed their know-how during the World Wood Days in March 2019. The construction of the mill was accompanied by camera to make this technical documentation accessible to the general public.
