Hino 300 SA Launch video

Straight from the SA launch, I got the opportunity to experience the trucking side of life with Hino SA as they launched the new generation of their 300 series.

Available in numerous configurations and providing solutions for all kinds of industries the truck are rated for 8.5 to 9.5 ton load ability and powered by a 120kW diesel powertrain linked to 6 speed manual r automatic transmissions for ease of driving and avoiding driver fatigue.

The most impressive factor to me was the level of driver comfort provided. From the sheer ride quality on road, effortless automatic transmission and standard air-conditioning. Also impressive is the turning circle, a short handling course as seen in the video showed that the 300 can actually turn quicker than a Hilux double cab. Even I managed the course whilst only clipping 1 bollard along the way.

Hino also introduced Hino Connect, a logistics management system that is now standard fitment on all their trucks. The system can monitor absolutely every mechanical function as well as satellite tracking for companies to manage their fleet at their most efficient level.

Overall, in my opinion, this shows the way for the future of trucking and logistics generally.
