Alt-Left & Dreambed, 5.11b Trad // Jonny Coe & Craig Logan

This summer was a banger, and I was pretty fortunate to find a ton of sunny days up high with some fantastic partners. My neighbour and often multi-pitch buddy Craig had illusions of climbing a few low key 5.8-5.9 multi-pitches this summer, but fortunately, I convinced him otherwise. Typically known for podium finishes at mega ultrarunning events, Craig is a solid dude and a great partner for the mini big walls in the Bow Valley and i'm stoked I was able to heckle him into joining me for some phenomenal days up high in the sunshine.

Alt-Left is a modern classic mixed trad line on the East End of Rundle (EEOR) that goes free at about 5.12a, or you can aid the big roof in the middle of the route at about 5.11b. It's a truly spectacular route featuring some of the best corner trad climbing in the Bow Valley in an amazing position.

Dreambed is another modern classic on the infamous Yamnuska. Known for NOT being a horrifying choss pile, Dreambed in particular is probably one of the most fun and approachable trad climbs on the face - which is typically better known for being a horrifying choss pile. Going free at 5.11b with plenty of bolts, good gear, and a few easy but bold runouts, Dreambed is most definitely one of my favorites of them all.
