my greatest insecurity is that i'm going to look 13 forever while feeling like a middle-aged adult. it's like Big with tom hanks, except vice versa. maybe i'll be able to get some good lighting one day to look like one of these youtube heartbreakers for y'all.

its been recommended many times to do a video for depression, and i hope this does it justice. i am nowhere near out of the woods with it myself, and i hope being able to sit here with you for a brief moment helps fill that empty space we often experience when we have depression. talking about it and your experience with it, however, can be vital to being able to distance it from your own concept of yourself; remember, you are not the depression, and it's traits are not your own.

as far as technical notes, subtitles have been added (thanks again Naija!); i will definitely do that on all future videos, and i'm going to go back and edit most of my older videos and add them too. this camera isn't mine, although i'd love to keep it around to make these videos. this is actually the room i spent all of my teen years in, and making this video brought back a lot of very bizarre nostalgia. the music in this video is from stars of the lid, a small group i stumbled upon in 11th grade; their long albums got me through a lot of crises and existential fear while i was in high school, and in this house.

anyways, as always, know you're deeply loved, and constantly thought about. you all mean a lot to me.
