The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is the most affordable model in Horizon’s Studio Series of treadmills. We’re impressed with how it performs and all the training capabilities it comes with, at an affordable price point.

The Horizon 7.0 is compact and foldable, making it a good option if you’re looking for a treadmill that can be stored. The deck uses a hydraulic assist so you get assistance when lifting and lowering the deck. You can also move it around fairly easily by tipping it back when it’s folded to engage the wheels. The treadmill itself is pretty lightweight at 277 lbs. It’s still substantial though and is really solid and sturdy.

Users up to 325 lbs should get a lot of use out of the 7.0. It has a 3.0 CHP motor that’s quiet and capable of handling light to moderate use. It also adjusts quickly. Horizon makes some of the most quick-adjusting treadmills, and the 7.0 is one of them.

For running, the Horizon 7.0 AT has an ideal deck length. It’s 60” which we’ve found can accommodate most running strides and heights of users. It is 20” wide so the treadmill is compact, but you might want to look into the Horizon 7.8 AT if you want a wider surface for running. The 7.0 AT handles everything from walking all the way up to sprinting and all of our reviewers had plenty of room on the deck.

Horizon also covers the motor and frame with a lifetime warranty which helps to instill confidence in the construction.

As far as the console, it’s simple and straightforward and kind of like a treadmill you’d find in a gym, at least how it functions. The screen is a 7.25” LCD screen and there are 4 LED windows below that to show all of your necessary training metrics. There are built-in workouts and different programmed modes to choose from for guided training. The Horizon will adjust automatically to the preselected speeds/inclines in these models. Plus, there’s a manual mode for you to do your own thing. The 7.0 AT doesn’t require a monthly subscription to access the content.
The console is Bluetooth-enabled to connect to apps like Zwift for training entertainment. You can use the Peloton and iFit Apps for trainer-led content, too. You’ll just need your device to stream. You can also play music and streaming content through the speakers. We do wish the speakers and fan were more powerful but considering all the Horizon 7.0 offers we are really impressed and recommend it for most homes.
