How to apply German Opportunity Card:

Opportunity Card is issued initially for a maximum of one year. The opportunity card allows you to look for gainful employment in Germany, i.e. you can seek employment or become self-employed.
While you are looking for gainful employment, you are allowed to have one or more part-time jobs totalling 20 hours a week. You can also do job trials for a maximum of two weeks per employer as part of your job search. The aim of the job trial must be either to obtain qualified employment, an apprenticeship or a qualification programme.

Steps to Find a Job in Germany
1. Research Job Market: Understand which sectors are thriving. Germany is known for its engineering, automotive, healthcare, IT, and financial services sectors.
2. Prepare Your Application: German employers typically expect a CV (Lebenslauf), cover letter (Anschreiben), and references. Tailor your application to the job and company.
3. Learn German: While many international companies operate in English, knowing German can significantly improve your chances of finding a job and integrating into the local culture.
4. Get Your Qualifications Recognized: If you have foreign qualifications, you may need to get them recognized in Germany.
5. Apply for a Visa: Non-EU citizens will need a visa to work in Germany. The EU Blue Card is a popular option for highly skilled workers.
