The Williams Woes of Mark Webber

Описание к видео The Williams Woes of Mark Webber

Back in 2004, Mark Webber was seen as one of F1’s rising stars, ranked alongside the likes of Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso as the men most likely to topple the great Michael Schumacher from his perch. A move to one of the sport’s most successful teams, Williams, looked sure to catapult him from promising talent to a race-winning, championship challenger.

Instead, what followed was two years of rotten reliability, mediocre management, dodgy driving, BMW belittling and Renault-based regrets. Today we’re tackling Mark’s time at Williams in 2005 and 2006, and pondering just what turned that team-up from wonderful, to woeful.

Along the way, we have a go at former Renault 3.5 winner Bertrand Baguette on 3 separate occasions for no real reason, and a guy who looks weirdly like the real life Mobile Chicane shows up.
