The Lotus Legacy of Ayrton Senna

Описание к видео The Lotus Legacy of Ayrton Senna

On the 30th anniversary of the passing of the great Ayrton Senna, the Mobile Chicane joins the litany of teams, drivers and circuits paying homage to one of F1's fastest ever drivers. Namely with a deep dive into perhaps one of the lesser remembered portions of the Senna story; his three years with Lotus.

As Ayrton traversed from his bristling potential at Toleman to world champion at McLaren, he showed he was one of the most rapid on the scene, with 16 pole positions from 48 grands prix in this time. Yet that Saturday supremacy was in direct contrast to his record on a Sunday, which reads just 6 wins.

Was the chasm between poles and wins indicative of a 'latter-day Leclerc'? Was Ayrton hampered by rotten reliability, like some sort of 'retro Raikkonen'? And with that in mind, could, or should, Senna have won a world championship with fallen giants Lotus?

Also there's a new intro: NOBODY PANIC
