ESTREMOFILI: cosa sono? - Come la vita ha colonizzato gli AMBIENTI ESTREMI

Gli estremofili: gli organismi che fidano gelo, fuoco e radiazioni. Le forme di vita più resistenti del pianeta!
Intanto che cosa è un ambiente estremo? questa domanda è meno scontata di quello che sembri, infatti la definizione di ambiente estremo dipende dalla prospettiva da cui lo si guarda.
Ci sono diversi tipi di estremofili, i criofili o psicrofili resistono a temperature estremamente basse, spesso in stato di quiescenza. Poi ci sono i termofili e gli iper termofili, che resistono a temprerature che superano i 120°C! Ci sono quelli che resistono alle radiazioni ionizzanti e gli organismi che vivono in assenza di ossigeno (anaerobi). Esiste un tipo di estremofilo per ogni tipo di ambiente estremo immaginabile, per descriverli tutti non basta di certo un solo video
