General Patton's Desert Training Center & Camp Coxcomb, and the Palen Mountains Maneuver Area.

Описание к видео General Patton's Desert Training Center & Camp Coxcomb, and the Palen Mountains Maneuver Area.

The Desert Training Center, also known as the California-Arizona Maneuver Area (CAMA) was an important training area for soldiers headed for North Africa during WW2. The CAMA encompassed 18,000 square miles, and hosted 12 camps, as well as airfields, etc.
Come along as I explore Camp Coxcomb and a few of the structures left from those days, as well as two mining camps.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to explore as extensively as I had wished, account some inclement weather earlier in the week of my trip, and so, I have decided to return in the Spring of 2021 to complete my mission of discovery.
Many thanks to Sean of Lost Jeeps Nevada for his assistance and counsel in this trip.
