The Foreign Subsidies Regulation: An Assessment from Four Legal Perspectives (RENFORCE Seminar)

Описание к видео The Foreign Subsidies Regulation: An Assessment from Four Legal Perspectives (RENFORCE Seminar)

Foreign subsidies granted by non-EU third countries have the potential to distort the internal market and undermine the level playing field for economic activities in the European Union. However, no suitable regulatory framework existed to mitigate their negative effects.

On 14 December 2022, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) was adopted to fill this regulatory gap. This online seminar addresses legal questions around the FSR based on the first perspectives of experts, including a general introduction (dr.Urszula Jaremba), public procurement law (dr. Willem Janssen), institutional law (dr. Thomas Verellen), international trade law (dr. Anna-Alexandra Marhold), and competition law (dr. Jasper Sluijs).
It is organised by the research project Public Interest Ecosystems (PIE) in collaboration with EU Values in international Trade under the Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE).
