TEVI - Fray (Expert)

The first boss of chapter 5. Fray is also the last minor boss for a while, so the next few fights will be much longer and tougher.

The boss patterns are starting to get a little tough to dodge if you don't prepare for them. Fray's attacks tend to burst out from her, so you have to be careful fighting her in close range. On top of that, Fray's attacks tend to have blowback, which sends you flying across the arena.

For this reason, her cut-in is very, very dangerous. I've had a pretty decent attempt die just because of a chain reaction from getting hit by the lasers once. Before I could recover from the blowback, the next set of lasers would hit me, resulting in a stunlock.

Besides that, it would be good to pay attention to her buffs. On her second phase, she gets a pretty beefy Attack Up, which can be dispelled with Cluster Bombs (or if you upgrade one of your items, the Cross Bombs as well).

There's also Pyrexia, which I didn't really take note of and paid for it near the end of the fight. It acts as a timer and increases Fray's attack over time. When it hits 10 stacks (the number below the icon), she will use that crazy attack at 3:13. The intention according to the game is to use dodges to give her 10 stacks of the Strip debuff, so that it will remove Pyrexia before it triggers. I tried doing that in another playthrough and uhh, you're better off just speedkilling her or timing a Soul Burst to get through it.
