Описание к видео The Role of DaTscan in the Diagnosis of Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) | Episode #8

LBDA is proud to present the eighth episode of our 2023 Community Webinar Series, ‘The Role of DaTscan in the Diagnosis of Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).'

'The Role of DaTscan in the Diagnosis of Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB),' examines the overlapping pathology and symptoms of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases, which can create challenges to diagnosing DLB.

Research suggests that DLB is the most often misdiagnosed form of progressive dementia, requiring multiple visits to providers and up to 18 months to receive an accurate diagnosis.

In this webinar, Dr. Jennifer Goldman, Chair, LBDA Scientific Advisory Council, explores the role of DaTscan in the diagnosis of DLB and provides an overview of the benefits and limitations of this technology in the diagnostic process.

Following this webinar, viewers are able to:
1. Define DaTscan and describe how it is administered in a health care setting.
2. Describe the role of DaTscan in the diagnosis of DLB.
3. Summarize the benefits and limitations of DaTscan technology in the diagnosis of DLB.
