Seasoning Cast Iron Pans: Vintage and Modern

The first serious snowfall of the season is here, and that means it's a fine day to spend the afternoon relaxing and seasoning cast iron pans. We're taking three pans that have been soaking in the lye tank...plus a surprise guest pan...and we'll be cleaning these pans and giving them two coats of seasoning. The final result will be a set of cast iron pans ready for use...or even to be given as presents during the holidays.
