Denver Health is the Heart of Our City

Denver Health has been a pillar in the Denver community for more than 160 years, yet many residents are unfamiliar with its full range of services. It is so much more than a hospital, playing a unique and necessary role in our community.

Denver Health is there for first days, worst days and the “I-just-need-to-talk” days: The mom-baby team welcomes one-third of all babies born in Denver County; Denver Health paramedics respond to nearly 130,000 emergency calls; and the health system see more than 80,000 patient visits a year for mental health and substance use treatment. Most know the hospital’s reputation as one of the country’s leading Level 1 trauma centers, but many are surprised to learn that health teams also take care of more than 15,000 students inside 19 DPS school-based health centers and nearly 300,000 patients system wide; including through 10 community clinics spread out across Denver. Simply put, Denver Health is there wherever and whenever patients need.
