Exploring Bantayan, Island Hopping 2024 Budget and Itinerary: Virgin Island, Baigad Lagoon

Bantayan Island is a picturesque island located off the northern coast of Cebu, Philippines. Island hopping is a popular activity due to its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and scenic islands.

You can book an organized tour through your hotel accommodation or local operators. Sandscape Hotel helped me arrange my tour. This tour typically includes tour in nearby islands, snorkeling spots, and packed lunch. In my case, I bought my own food because food is quite pricey in the island.

You will be transported to the Santa Fe Island Hopping Station at Barangay Okoy. You will pay total of 1900 pesos for three destinations which are Virgin island, Hilantagaan island and Baigad lagoon). Also included are boat rental and environmental fees. Virgin island and Baigad lagoon have separate entrance fees which will be paid on the location itself.

For our first stop and activity; we went to Hilantagaan Island. This island is popular for its quiet fishing village and beautiful coral reefs, making it an ideal destination for snorkeling. I spent an hour and a half here. You can see colorful corals, a variety of fish, and other marine life.

For our second stop, we went to Virgin Island**, also known locally as **Sillion Island**, is one of the most popular spots for island hopping near Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines. There is an entrance fee of 350 pesos to Virgin Island, which helps maintain the island's facilities and cleanliness.

For our final stop, we went to Baigad Lagoon.
Baigad Lagoon is a hidden gem in Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines. It's less known compared to some of the other attractions in Bantayan, making it an excellent spot for those looking for a more serene and off-the-beaten-path experience. Entrance fee is 200 pesos.
