Today, we take a break from the kitchen to have lunch at one of Vancouvers most famous (infamous?) restaurants on Hastings Street, On lok. We were not sure if we were allowed to film and if anyone told us to stop, we would have! This iconic wonton house was opened in 1982 and has been known for their wontons that they make in house on a table in the restaurant. They also have a huge menu selection and they also have their bbq section which is proudly displayed as you walk in. This restaurant was always busy during the 80's and 90's. My personal favourites are, of course, the wonton noodle soup, the beef brisket with tripe and tendon with noodles, their selection of congee, their soy sauce chicken, and their pot stickers. The decor has not changed since the 90's and it's a super nostalgic restaurant for the people who grew up here. #foodreview #chinesefood #vancouver
