Hiking Angelus Hill: San Jacinto Mountains (San Bernardino National Forest).

I'm often attracted to visiting peaks somewhere off the beaten path. There is some magical element to being somewhere nice where nobody else is around. I guess in a way it makes me feel like a bit of an explorer, even if I am walking a dirt road all the way to get there. Certainly, this describes a visit to Angelus Hill. With no shade, this is definitely a cooler weather type of hike. Great views from the summit include the Inland Empire to the west and the higher San Jacinto Mountains to the east.
