The composer rather sought to catch their substance and essence, distilling an original creative expression.
Mountainside Is a rhapsodic utterance of pastoral tribe orientation. The flute freely emitting a plaintive pentatonic tune which Is taken up with strong rhythmic stance by the orchestra. Vocal chanting adds to the ecological spirit of the piece.
Lullaby is a brief disquote, quiet and languid
Festival Is a carousing village scene highlighted by a free session of indeterminate voicing — shouting accompanied by on-going percussive rhythmic drive and revelry. Philippine Instruments lend local color to the scenic sonority.
