KEITH'S CHARACTER - His Family, Relationships, and Arc | Voltron: Legendary Defender Analysis

Keith is a complex character. His family, relationships and arc are all important. As said in Keith's vlog he pushes people away before they reject him. The reason he joined the Blade of Marmora and left Team Voltron was because he knew he wasn't a good leader. Lance coming to him with the problem of too many Paladins not enough Lions made him realize the weakest link needed to go and that was him. He let himself go before the others did in favour of Shiro. Keith in someway does have the Blade of Marmora mindset. He puts the mission over the individual in most cases. Back on Arus, when Allura got captured, when ten solar systems were in danger, etc, etc. He learned to not open up to people because of his parents leaving him. His mother left to defend the universe likely, but I think his father left less willingly. The only people he's got a fairly close bond with right now are Shiro and Lance. However Shiro's wavering. Overall though, the Paladins are Keith's family. He needs to understand that and figure out what connections he needs to keep and break.
