Elden Ring - Golden Hippopotamus [Level 1 - Star Fist / No Scadutree Blessings / No Damage]

Now that I've completed my initial playthrough of the DLC, it's time to get back into this.

Because the DLC's challenge level is significantly higher, I won't be able to consistently upload several videos at once.

As for the Golden Hippo, it's a good baseline for what to expect, though it (as well as quite a few bosses) can perish pretty quickly to decent builds paired with a high Scadutree blessing without even learning any of its tricks. The second phase is especially dangerous for not getting hit, as the needles can land in unexpected places if one's positioning is bad. Usually, staying behind to its side can make the spinning attack significantly less dangerous, but I still double roll in case a few come in my direction unexpectedly. It also likes to auto-counter if you make any lengthy attacks from its backside, which is abusable once you know the timing of its sideswipe.
