Eight 43s around Carlisle!
Colas,
Pullman and
RailAdventure!
Plus Class 90s return to daytime working
and the Purple Jubilee 66
09 & 10 April 25

Filmed on the first day at Carlisle's Citadel station.
Among the regular workings we have a couple of loco moves and the regular visit from the Network Rail test train doing work on the Sou' Western lines in Scotland.

LSL's Midland Pullman came in with a charter which had run up the Settle & Carlisle line and returned south via the Cumbrian Coast.

Then Rail Adventure's train arrived heading to Eastriggs to collect a Class 769 unit. Top and tailed by pairs of Class 43s with Philip and Henry - the universal barrier vehicles between.

On the second day I had hoped to see some shunting at Eastriggs but it had already been done.
I went first to Quintinshill to see what was running on the main line before going to Metal Bridge (yes it is a place) where I'd not recorded for a couple of years. In both cases the sun was very bright in the South.
Then to Rigg,, between Eastriggs and Gretna Green, to see the RailAdventure move heading to Crewe.
A Final clip at Carlisle Citadel to finish the day.
