Описание к видео Learning English Podcast - Lost Cities, Culture & Cookbooks, Supersonic Airplane

Dan Novak and Ashley Thompson host today's Learning English show.

First: Archeologists have found a group of lost cities in the Amazon rainforest. The cities were home to at least 10,000 farmers around 2,000 years ago. John Russell reports.

Then: Cookbooks can help you make a meal. But as Faith Pirlo explains, they also serve as records of history and culture.

Next up: The LE Science and Technology Report. The American space agency NASA is preparing to test a new supersonic airplane that could help establish a new generation of superfast aircraft. Bryan Lynn has the story. After the report, Bryan joins Ashley in the studio. She asks him about some of the possible barriers to use of supersonic airplanes.

Then, it's time for the LE Lesson of the Day. Andrew Smith and Jill Robbins base their instruction on the LE video series Let's Learn English. They teach about the past perfect and present perfect tenses in connection with "The Big Snow" episode.

Dan and Ashley close the show.
