Collaborating with Desert Communities

Описание к видео Collaborating with Desert Communities

Initially, Bedouin people were nomadic and moved with the seasons and weather conditions.

However, now they have become more settled, leading to overgrazing and a return to the same homestead or village. Educating the community and consulting with them is crucial.

Fencing the area or providing funding to local people can make the process easier. For example, offering to feed their animals in exchange for manure, which can be composted to grow trees, or trading feed for manure to create a more efficient landscape.

This settled lifestyle is not characteristic of Bedouin heritage, so there is a need for education to help them adapt to the changes.
