Meenakashi Lekhi is an Indian politician, Lok Sabha MP from New Delhi constituency and the current Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India.

She earned her B.Sc. Botany (Hons) from Hindu College and LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and joined the Delhi Bar Council in 1990.

She has served as Chairperson of the Committee on Public Undertakings (2019-2021), Committee on Data Protection Bill (2019-2021) and Committee on Privileges (2015-2019). She has held the post of National Vice President, BJP Mahila Morcha in the past and was on the Women's Reservation Bill and Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Bill Drafting Committees.

She writes the column "Forthwrite" fortnightly for The Week. She has also authored a fictional political thriller "The New Delhi Conspiracy". Lokmat named her "Best Debut Women Parliamentarian" in 2017 for her active participation in parliamentary processes.
