Wonderful Blackpool .....in 1961 by Fylde Films

Filmed in 1961 during the Summer Season in Blackpool, John Nunns has captured many iconic scenes and features of the town, many of which have now long gone. This film is a view on past fashions, transport, entertainments ....and has been acknowledged by experts as a valuable piece of archive film.
It was John's interest in photography and film ....and the fact that he had a well-known photographic retail shop on Central Drive, Blackpool, that prompted him to make this cine film. As an organist in his own right, John's shop later became a electronic organ retail outlet in 1974, being joined by Stephen Austin....and a second shop was opened in 1978. It attracted photographic and organ enthusiasts from all over the UK and abroad when they visited Blackpool.
John arranged a musical accompaniment at the time of making the film and this has been recreated by Stephen Austin playing the Technics GA 1 Organ
