Manipur: Relentless rains wreak havoc; traffic disrupted, rivers swollen, mudslides cause chaos

The heavy rainfall in Manipur has caused widespread havoc, leading to waterlogging and disrupting traffic in various districts. A mudslide near Sinam village in Kangpokpi district has swept a truck into a gorge on the NH 37 Imphal-Silchar highway. In the Senapati district, rivers overflow, and floodwaters have entered multiple localities, creating a dire situation for residents. The Imphal River has swelled to dangerous levels, adding to the impact of the relentless downpour. Additionally, over ten deaths have been reported due to a stone quarry collapse in Mizoram.
