WADE FISHING THE MULLET RUN

In this adventure, I take a detour from beach fishing the mullet run and head over to the Indian River for some snook and jacks. It seems that this week the vast majority of the mullet were not on the beach but in the river. So I concentrated my efforts in the river. For three days I fished in the river wade fishing. I find this style of fishing is very relaxing especially when compared to fighting the large and loud waves on the beach was also the case this week.


Set-Ups

#1 2005 model year Fenwick Inshore 7’ medium baitcaster rod Okuma X-series X-100XA baitcaster 30 pound Kastking braid, 30 pound monofilament Ande leader.

#2 St. Croix Triumph baitcaster Rod 7’ medium heavy Okuma X-series X-100XA baitcaster 30 pound Kastking braid, 30 pound

Lures used-NLBN 3” white color and mullet color. 1/4 oz green and white NLBN jig head and 3/8 oz Hook-up jig in pink.

Topwater was a Salt Strong Moon walker
