Giovanna Garzoni (1600–1670) was an Italian painter and a pioneering woman´s artist during the Baroque period.
Although working at the French court and for the Venetian Church, she is most admired and remembered for her many still lifes depicting ordinay fruits and vegetables rather than the fancy flowers that were common at this time.
Our video is made in honour of Giovanna Garzoni and presents the fantastic work of this amazing paintress.
