Risky Active Volcano Hiking in Guatemala!!🇬🇹(Acatenango)

How difficult is it to hike Acatenango? One of the highest volcanoes in Central America, almost 4000 meters high which is also still active!!
It is generally considered a hard hike but personally ​​it was one of the worst moments of my life haha!!
I suffered literally every moment during the hike but I don't represent any of my friends who all completed the hike without complaints!

My problem was that for the last 7 days before that hike, I was sick with fever, diarrhea and I had barely eaten anything.My first meal of the week was literally during the hike's first stop!
I was constantly struggling to breath, I could barely move my legs and the altitude had affected me hard.I don't need to talk about my joint and muscle aches, ahah.I'm not exaggerating guys haha ​​I was completely destroyed!

Reggaeton Music was my motivation and I truly believe that if I wasn't vlogging the whole experience I couldn't have finished the hike! Thinking of the video and filming it played a role in distracting me from my reality at those moments.

However, the moment I reached the top and saw the Fuego volcano erupting in front of my eyes, all the pain, dizziness and fatigue magically disappeared !!

The overnight hike to Acatenango Volcano is a unique life experience that everyone visiting Guatemala should consider doing !! Just better don't try it if you are sick the day before ha !!

** Because my last hike was 6 years ago and because I don't do any sport at the moment, after this hike, it took me 6 days to be able to walk properly again !! But honestly that was just with me !! All my other friends you see in this video (men+women) they were all fine during the hike and the next day after we had completed it!
