50 years of saving raptors and advancing ecosystem health at The Raptor Center

Описание к видео 50 years of saving raptors and advancing ecosystem health at The Raptor Center

The Raptor Center (TRC), a unit within the College of Veterinary Medicine, located on the Saint Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, is one of the busiest Raptor Centers in the world, helping over 1,000 birds each year. Eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, vultures- they come into the center for a variety of reasons and TRC's specialized veterinary and rehabilitation team springs into action to respond to these birds and work to get them back into the wild where they belong. Additionally, with each bird that comes into the hospital, our scientists are able to get a glimpse into the environment these birds come from, to learn more about the health of the ecosystems and identify new and emerging health concerns that impact both animals and people.

Come learn about the work The Raptor Center does 365 days a year, responding to ill and injured birds, advancing critical ecosystem health science and research, and bringing our message of conservation and environmental education back to the public with our school and outreach programs. Get excited for some guest appearances from some of TRC's education ambassador birds and add a bit of wildlife and fun into your evening.
